NAR is pleased to announce that it has been awarded by Ecovadis with the silver medal as recognition of its sustainability achievements. This award places NAR within the top 15% of the best companies evaluated by Ecovadis in the last 12 months. This result reflects the quality of NAR’s management system in relation to environmental sustainability, ethics, social issues and governance.

This is the initiative that NAR organized to welcome the passage of the Giro d'Italia to Legnaro last May 23rd. The bikers of the pink event paraded in front of our headquarters, receiving enthusiastic greetings from the entire NAR team.
Great day of celebration for NAR which celebrated its 60th years of activity last October 7th in the presence of the entire company and local institutions, including the President of the Province of Padua Sergio Giordani. It was an opportunity to retrace the long entrepreneurial history of NAR, begun by Antonio Righetti in 1963 and continued until today, with the current President Carlo Maria Righetti and his sister Francesca, sons of Antonio, in the name of continuous expansion at the international level but also attention to the territory and the local community, as demonstrated by the support for many initiatives dedicated to the socio-cultural growth of Padua.
We are pleased to announce that NAR has received from Ecovadis the prestigious recognition of the silver medal for our environmental, social and ethical performances. Our company has always operated with absolute respect for human rights, pursuing a sustainable purchasing policy and protection and preservation of our environment. The recognition of our commitment and efforts from one the major ESG rating companies is the culmination of a long journey and allows us to communicate this result to our partners.

ECOMASK® 460 is the original packaging tape with a paper backing and adhesive in natural rubber. The first tape rolled out of production back in 1990 and today we are proud to have once again registered the trademark. This is an important recognition to a product that is synonymous with quality and that remains the benchmark in this market.

Environmental sustainability is an integral part of NAR for which we have always taken a concrete and factual approach, also by following the guidelines of environmental certification ISO 14001 and FSC®. To continue along this path, we have participated to the first edition of the School for Circular Economy, part of the Master of Sustainable Chemistry and Technologies for Circular Economy, organised by the department of Chemical Sciences at the University of Padua.
We believe that it is only through a profound knowledge of these issues that professionals can be qualified to take informed decisions on critical issues that have an enormous impact for the future of our planet and the next generations.
Our participation to the latest IPACK-IMA in Milan has come to a successful end. It has been a pleasure to be able to bring our company back, after four years, to such an important exhibition where we returned to meet people in person and talk of our historic collaborations and the new potential opportunities. A coating machine is the beating heart for a company that produces self-adhesive tapes. Therefore, we are proud to present our new coating line for products with adhesive in Natural Rubber: SP9.
Equipped with the most modern technologies for safety, energy efficiency and quality control, the SP9 consolidates and expands our production capacity for tapes in Natural Rubber: choose from our wide product range with backings in PVC (NARTAPE), polypropylene (POLINAR), paper (MASKING and PAPER PACK) and mono oriented polypropylene (NARSTRAP).
At NAR we have always pursued a sustainable growth. Over 30 years ago, we were the first to answer the market’s request for a paper packaging tape with the original ECOMASK 460, with natural rubber adhesive. Today, that momentum towards sustainability has reached new sectors, which together with the modern packaging’s task to communicate, has pushed us to develop a printed tape that meets the requirements of large volumes with quality and efficiency: the RENEWA® TAPE 465.
We have internally developed an innovative printing technology and have worked together with our suppliers to ensure that the product is sustainable along the supply chain.
The result is a versatile tape, thanks to the natural rubber adhesive, with a print that is sharp, resistant and with performances that are unmatched in machine roll formats for automatic carton sealing. 65% of the RENEWA® TAPE 465 is made from renewable sources and we are the only manufacturer able to offer paper tapes with natural rubber adhesive that can be FSC® certified.

As a company we believe that we not only have an economical role but also a social responsibility. This is the reason why we have decided to sponsor the 2019 edition of the European Winter School on Physical Organic chemistry. Being now into its 13th edition, the school aims to draw the attention to the pervasive role the Chemical Science has for the achievement of the “Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),” identified by the UN as the imperative mission for a sustainable future with a time frame up to 2030.
Especially targeted at all those people who are committed to groundbreaking research that can make our world a better place, the school thematic fil-rouge in every edition is to highlight the key role of Molecular and Materials Science in three priority areas of Energy, Human health and food and Raw materials and Feedstocks.
NAR is preparing to celebrate a particularly significant anniversary, that of 55 years of activity. A special "birthday" which the Company wants to share with all the employees. On this occasion, there will be the inauguration of the new office building, too. The appointment is for Sunday, 7th October at 10.30 am at the NAR headquarters (via Leonardo da Vinci 8, Legnaro – Padua). The Mayors of Legnaro and Ponte San Nicolo' will take part in the event, together with the Parish Priest who will bless the building.
With the precise target of responding more and more promptly to customer needs, NAR decided to equip itself with new packaging systems: in particular, investments have focused on a pallet box packaging system (specific for the printer market and for those who use high volumes of the so-called machine rolls), on two new machines for the single packing of the masking tape and on a high performance packaging machine for the packaging of the carton sealing
On the occasion of its 24th edition, NAR Spa will take part in the IPACK-IMA fair in FieraMilano Rho from 29th May to 1st June.
An unfailing appointment as per the previous 23 editions, to which NAR has participated; a great opportunity for comparison and international showcase, to meet customers and suppliers to whom illustrating the continuous development of manufacturing and products.
NAR kicked off renovating the commercial and administrative offices. The planned improvements will not only increase the available space inside the building, but will also modernize the whole structure, adapting it to the most modern techniques of collective reception. All in the name of ecology, since the new adopted materials comply with the most advanced environmental compatibility criteria. While waiting for the completion of the works, which is expected for the 55th anniversary of the Company's foundation, here is a rendering of the finished project
